I love La Boqueria in Barcelona. I visited this place on my first day in Barcelona a few weeks ago. I’m pretty sure I knocked several people over with my extra-sized backpack while I was being sardined in the market. This place was very crowded and lively, even around closing time and it’s very easy to get lost here since it’s quite big.
I could spend hours just checking out different food stalls and sampling different kinds of food here. This place is an eye candy for foodies. I only had a smoothie and it was better than any of the drinks I’ve bought in supermarkets. When I was there, they mostly carried fruits, candy, and of course, jamon. It’s my favorite kind of market, and it is the best one I’ve been to so far.
Even though I am fortunate enough to live in the food capital of the US, I would rather live in Europe. It’s the food, baby.
