El Quim de la Boqueria, Barcelona

on

I just came back from Barcelona and I had one of the best seafood I ever had at El Quim. I really enjoyed their fried eggs with baby squids, pictured (courtesy of El Quim). Even though the portion was not big, it was definitely worth the long wait and the price. The atmosphere and the staff were convivial–it was fun to watch the executive chef making every staff member drink gin and tonic from a porron (traditional Spanish wine pitcher) on the job, and attempting to do the same to a reluctant customer who was leaving. I will come back.

Price: €19.75

Address:
Mercado de La Boqueria, La Rambla, 91, 08002 Barcelona, Spain
